Villa DM is a residence that surprises at first glance. Although primarily developed on a single floor, its architecture incorporates a strategically positioned double-height ceiling that conveys the visual impression of a two-story home. This solution adds grandeur and elegance to the volumetric composition, allowing the residence to stand out in the urban landscape. The only exception is the gym, located on the upper level and intentionally oriented toward the rear garden. The client wished for the workout space to connect visually with nature. Thus, while serving its functional purpose, the design also offers a sensory experience of contemplation and well-being. The gourmet area is another key feature of the house. Integrated with the deck, it was conceived as a fluid and versatile space for gatherings and leisure. The deck expands the possibilities of use — whether for outdoor dining, larger receptions, or even open-air workouts — blending health and social interaction in a light and welcoming way. In terms of materiality, Villa DM embraces crisp white volumes that precisely define the perimeter of the house, interspersed with wooden slatted panels of irregular widths, creating rhythm and visual movement. The neutral palette enhances the overall elegance, subtly highlighting textures and contrasts. Villa DM represents an architecture that balances aesthetics and functionality, grandeur and warmth — a contemporary refuge to live, gather, and reconnect.
